Just like Marmite you either love it or you hate it!

Diane von Furstenberg participated in a TimesTalks panel in New York, where she talked about (amongst other things) her obsession with a certain animal print: "Leopard print is completely timeless. It was hot in the thirties, in the forties, in the fifties, in the sixties, in the seventies — all the decades. Why? Because there's nothing more beautiful that the leopard, and the way the print moves on the skin and goes up and down. And when I did my first wrap dress, I did a leopard print. And by the way, I keep on doing it, and people keep on buying it. There's something about how the woman feels feline. It's kind of nice to feel feline."

Just like DVF as all my regular readers will know, I have a profound love for the print but as I have a lot of new followers/readers lately (thank you) I felt it was only fair that I should share that love with you and it is one trend you can rely on each season, so is always a worthwhile investment, in fact in my mind, it should become a wardrobe staple, it goes great with denim, white, black, brown, neutral.  In fact I was shocked to see so much of it around for this summer season as I associate it more with Autumn and Winter trends although Leopard print swimwear is always popular and considered quite sexy! My only rule is I never wear more than one thing at a time, imagine if I wore the coat, the scarf and the shoes at the same time, ha bloody ha, it would be ridiculous!

Along with DVF, Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli can always be relied upon for a print inject into each seasons collections whether summer or winter and already some of the new seasons leopard print pieces are amazingly already sold out, like this Sonia Rykiel coat at net-a-porter...

Good job I already have mine!

Was a full length Wallis Coat, I had taken up!

Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and Lanvin all have the most gorgeous leopard print shoes and boots for autumn, it may be time for me to ditch my faithful Karen Millen ones...

I may have the accessories but I dont have any clothing, so I intend to remedy that with this gorgeous top which will be great dressed up or down.......

  3. I love it! I've got a leopard print scarf and also a coat - which I didn't wear last year but will wear this year. I once had the best leopard print belt ever but lost it one night out clubbing. How does a belt fall off you??

  5. Unlike DVF, I can only appreciate leopard print in small doses...your jacket, scarf and ballet flats, for example. I also love the leopard choker necklace that I have on Beladora which was featured multiple times in the August issue of ELLE!

  7. As you may recall, I recently included a leopard print skirt into my wardrobe. I love it! And I get more compliments when I wear it than when I wear anything else!

  9. I love it but I don't have a lot of it. I bought some really cute leopard print ballerinas from KG and they go with everything and look super chic.

  12. Great post - I am SO with you. Last winter I acquired a beautiful vintage leopard coat and some cool ankleboots - all the men in my life seem to hate them, but my girlfriends are always itching to borrow them! Unfortunately my leopard print cardi has shrunk, but I'm trying to think of a way to recycle before I chuck it!
