The pussybow blouse is an item that frequently pops up on the fashion radar and has been very popular throughout the whole 70's summer trend, but one that is continuing to feature throughout autumn and winter and with a distinctive gap in my wardrobe which needed to be filled with new tops, I was pleased to spot a pussybow blouse in H&M a while ago for the bargain price of just £9.99 and realised it was the perfect way to add a "pop" of colour to a normally neutral coloured winter wardrobe.
I couldn't resist taking a nod from "la Zoe" but with a smaller bow and teaming it with my leopard print jacket for Day 2 of London Fashion Week
.

Realising what a versatile addition it would make to my wardrobe, worn either loose or tucked in, I couldn't resist going back for the cream version and when you consider how easily they dress up jeans, make a welcome change from a t-shirt when worn under jackets or cardigans, give a "Miss Moneypenny" edge to your pencil skirt for the office, the pussybow blouse should be regarded as this seasons "white shirt" as they really do go with everything and work for women of all ages whether the bow is high and stiff at the neck or lower and loosely tied like Olivia Palermo's.
Smart under tailored jackets or casual under chunky cardigans.

Olivia Palermo looking effortlessly stylish as always.

My two beloved pussy bow tops I brought a few years ago are out of the closet and in the washer as I write... never threw them out - knew they would be back in fashion again! Both in timeless black, of course!
