At 53 years of age, nobody can deny that Sharon Stone looks totally amazing, even though I am not a huge fan of over 40 something women wearing their hemlines so short, but she does have amazing legs and I know loads of you will tell me its fine, although I will never believe you, whether someone has great pins or not, there are so many great dresses out there and when your budget is unlimited, there is simply no excuse and I will always believe that you are trying too hard!
Sharon Stone never really crops up on my "style icon" radar, but "all hail" the middle aged woman with the figure of a girl at least half her age, whether she is blessed with great gene's or lives on iceberg lettuce leaves, the lady deserves respect!
The only thing I am not sure about is whether the young man she was spotted out and about in Hollywood with is the boy that she adopted a while ago. Admittedly, I do lose track of time so perhaps he could be this old by now and this young man does have the look of an "oversized toddler" about him and I remember the boy being blonde, don't I?
I love her hair and the accessories but if I could give one word of advice to Sharon it would be: snakeskin heels or bag, never both, Sharon love.
What do you think of Sharon's style and what one word of advice would you give her?

I thought wow as well - she looks just fantastic in that dress. I do know what you mean about the hemline and I wish it were just a couple of inches longer - would make all the difference.
ReplyDeleteDon't think her eldest boy is quite this old yet - if he is then I've also lost track of time.
My only advice would be to make sure anything she wears has the best possible fit - there's just no excuse for someone like her. Whatever size you are, the right fit will always make you look better.
So true what you say about the fit. I wonder if she is struggling to fit into anything after Christmas like the rest of us, lol!
ReplyDeleteI never have Sharon Stone as a 'style icon' either...she looks great...she has been blessed with a great face...but I always think women of a 'certain age' look best when they look elegant..and this dress and accessories is definitely not!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
xx
I am green with envy at both those legs and arms....who is her doctor?? I don't like the dress but well if you've still got it.....pass me the lettuce!!
ReplyDeleteCatherine - you are so right, its not elegant but I love the accessories and they would look more sophisticated paired with a different outfit.
ReplyDeleteYAH - You can grow your own lettuce and live off that, it is bound to be delicious!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more. SS is lovely and could be elegant and chic but just ends up looking, as you say, like she's trying too hard. You never want to look that way on the plus side of 40. Also agree on the bag/shoe thing - matchy matchy is the very epitome of trying too hard and often the downfall of a woman in l'age.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the heels paired with red dress. I am afraid to tell you I don't think thats her adopted son:)
ReplyDeleteL'age moyen - you are a girl after my own heart!
ReplyDeleteMichelle - :)
ReplyDeleteI always think she is trying too hard - the dress is just a tad tight hence the creases - as you rightly say just too short and matching shoes and bag - makes it shriek "matchy matchy" but at 53 she has a fab figure and most of all love how the younger guy is smiling like a cat who got the cream - good for her
ReplyDeleteI think if I had a body like hers at that age I would want to flaunt it too...but I know sometimes it just doesn't look right.
ReplyDeleteI look much better in short dresses, long are totally unflattering...are you saying when I hit forty...in oh about 5 years I can't go short?? :((
Much as I love Sharon Stone I feel there is something not quite right with this photo! Her knees are putting me off a bit! Mind you my own would probably look the same if I wore a dress that short!!

I think she looks fantastic. If you have got it flaunt it! Just wish I could look that good in a dress that short.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great - if you've got the legs wear them out!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm totally with you on the hemline thing. Totally.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she is bringing her son to his first day of school. It does not look like they are going somewhere together, she is far to dressed up. She can carry the style of I think, but it just is a bit much for me personally. Elegant and classy are not words that come in to my mouth. She has the body, face and money, she could look 10.000 times better. Longer dress, not so much make-up in the daytime, more classical shoes. But that is just me! Erika
ReplyDeleteI agree that SS would look more elegant in a slightly longer dress. But she she needs to look as young as possible to keep working. She is in competition with ever- younger women in fiercely age-ist, Hollywood.
